(7 months ago) Whether victorious or TPK, this part of the current D&D will almost certainly come to an end on Thursday 21st Jan (unless no-one turns up). So let's have a good turnout please. This has been quite a long haul, given that its actually a bolted-on progression from the frozen Scales of War campaign. There's been plenty of discussion on who wants to do what, and although there's plenty of players that don't have a presence on the club site, maybe some ideas and intentions would be good. The Eberron campaign for 4e D&D has been touted, and there is the Descent game that looks to be starting to. Nick Hughes is talking about a return to the SHRPG. Ideas anyone? There's only this session coming, and it might be an idea to give some notice to any incoming referees. I'll start. Although The Wretched Earth campaign is continuable at any time, with any number of players, apart from that I'm all DM'd out - especially on 4e and CoC (which I normally only do as modern/Delta Green). Personally, I wouldn't mind playing 4e for a while, whilst I think up more ludicrous campaign settings and rules mods to put my RPGA licence under threat. So if Stefan is going to run the Eberron campaign, I'd like to play in that. If he's going to play Descent, I'll play in anyone's D&D or CoC game. Gary |

The Descent campaign looks great, but it's already up and running with no spaces open for new players. However, that's not to stop someone else running a Descent campaign.... I, personally, don't want to sign up to lots of 4th Ed. D&D campaigns and I would like to try something different. I would also like to run something although I realise my gaming tastes aren't shared by everyone. Having said that, I was talking to Russell on Thursday and telling him about the old James Bond rpg that Victory Games did. For the uninitiated, it was a superb system that was easy to play and which captured the flavour of James Bond very well. I would be very happy to run a James Bond game: It would have low ranked agents (rookie) characters who, together, would equal the abilities of a 00. I could really only have a maximum of 4 players in it though but that could give us the chance to run 2 3 or 4 player games at once. The Bond game would last a couple of sessions. |

Further to my comments just now, I'd like to add my input into Gary's D&D game. I like the balance of the game, especially combat wise. The enemies we've encountered so far were challenging without being overpowering. The pop culture references and humour levels were higher than in Carl's game and I don't have a big problem with that. I can see how the campaign could get more serious in the future as we travel further in the game world. |

Thanks to Gary for running this campaign. Nick, with regard to your James Bond game I am interested in playing this, it sounds like an interesting system and a novel genre. I am signed up for Dave's D&D 3.5 game, perhaps you could run it after this game finishes. I understand that the James Bond rules are out of print, have you any idea where I could buy a pdf (legal only). |

Russell, I have the JB rulebook and the Q Manual, which I "inherited" - and I'm not really into playing it. You can have them as long as your wife doesn't mind yet more crap in the house. Gary |

Gary, Thanks a lot. I'd be glad to give your JB rules a good home. I am short of space but all RPG books are indistinguishable to my wife so I'll just tell her I always had it. She does the same trick with new pairs of shoes. Russell |

I am very open to either running Eberon or playing Decent.
I don't want to force people into playing more D&D as it has been quite dominant over the last months. but I can also apreciate that Gary has been dishing out an awfull lot of DMing, and rather much deserves a shot at playing now :)
I hadnt intended to come thursday as I am going to Denmark the day after, but seeing as I need to go to leisuregames for a present anyway...I might as well come and help on the conclusion of the D&D :)
Also its easier to plan what to do when youre actually there :)
