Updated - now free entry

Hi all,

Hope its ok to post this here.

I'm running a 4e D&D tournament later in the year. Almost certainly in a hall in Finchley Central, probably in June.

At the moment its a whole day thing, with two four-hour scenarios played simultaneously by all players. The teams would be made up of groups of four plus a DM.

There would of course, be prizes and a load of kudos for the winning team. Scoring would be on advancement through the scenario and a load of other secret criteria. Characters would all be pregens. I'm planning to keep costs dead low - prob £12 per player, or £45 for a full team.

At the moment, I have a couple of DMs and a handful of players. I'm hoping to have a lot of interest from the FGC people, and numbers will dictate the venue I'd have to book.

Any of you wanting to enter a whole team to spank your rivals - this is your chance.

Thanks for looking.

Gary

Hi Gary,

think I'd be interested work permitting. Let me know when you have more details.

Nick-you're alive. YAY
can we borrow our D&D books back at some point please?

Clair,

I'll take that as a "maybe".

I'm interested in taking part in this tournament. I'm not particularly competitive though, so don't put me in with a group that takes it too seriously. Otherwise my inability to roll double figures on a d20 is unlikely to go down well.

*****UPDATE*****

Thanks to generous sponsorship of this event by Leisure Games of Finchley, this event will now be free to teams of four, and only £1 for individual entrants.

The date for this event is confirmed as:

Sunday 23rd May 2010

and the tournament is currently planned to take place at the shop, 100 Ballards Lane, Finchley N3, although the venue may have to change if there is very wide interest.

So teams of four would be great, I'd love to see an FGC team there. There may well be a Leisure Games team there, so lets see what we have in terms of cut-throat rivalry!

Any of you who have hometown or university RPG groups, I'd love to see you all there as well.

Please message me for full details.

Clair Umbo is officially broken. Thank you Graham.

Graham Charlton only had to provide half of this evening's D&D plot. The rest was infighting and bickering amongst the players. Bliss! :D

Clair Umbo just killed Rich's lieutenant in Road to Legend. yay (or ops as he misread the rules slightly so didn't have enough minions)

Clair Umbo :Runewars-very good, (even if I did come last) Vasco Da Gama-plays well, nice mechanics, good feel: Tobago-nice pieces, light and fun to play.

Richard Fisher has failed to save the world. Twice. We suck at Pandemic.
