Should I get the opportunity to run I would be putting Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay up again; largly player driven investigation with lots of opportunity to uncover / blunder into dangerous situations. Would be open to any mix of new and returning players - the plot, being episodic, would allow for that easily.
That said, it's only been one block since my last game of WFRP, so I've not hit GM withdrawl just yet if you've got a better offer out there!
As mentioned in a previous thread, I'm interested in running Rogue Trader. Happy for it to be this block, or the block after, whatever fits best.
I am running 7TV for the Showcase Night but after that I'm involved in a massive Talavera wargame for Farnborough Wargames Society which has a warm up/demo version on the 12th and the full sized game the following week so I'm not available the rest of January. I want to run Pendragon in the February/March block though if there are willing players.
I would be up for playing in WFRP and Rogue Trader so long as there's no clash. Depending on how Monsters and Other Childish Things and Dark Heresy go down over the next couple of sessions I would be up for running a block of either of those, but it would have to be in the block-after-next to give me time to prepare something.
Sean is down to run a 'Pathfinder' in the Jan slot, then i might be running 'Army of Shadows' in the Feb slot depending on whether Dave is running 'Rumours' or Nick H is Running 'Pendragon' which im kindda down for except last time i ended up in A&E and missed it, (How many peeps u got 4 that Nick?) & Jon is in both of those also & cant run 'Shadows' without him, that would be like ewoks fighting without chewbacca, so might be March till I get another session in.

Can I please say something with the best of intent, and no offence intended?
Nic - we're seriously trying to move away from this kind of confusion and disorganisation. To avoid any clashes, let's be clear that we are running a single calendar. On this calendar-
Sean is not "down" to run Pathfinder in January.
You're not "down" to run anything.
At the moment there is only one game scheduled in Jan, and that's Scales of War. If Sean wants to run PF, all he has to do is put it on the calendar. If you want to run Army of Shadow - put it on the calendar. If you worry about what NickH or Dave are doing, you will never get anywhere. The calendar has been up for some weeks, and they have had ample opportunity to schedule games had they wanted to. Otherwise, all we'll end up with is this concept of "something better coming along" continuing.
Seriously - anyone that wants to run a game should just put it down instead of waiting for anyone else. We've had months of discussion on this, please let's not run any informal parallel systems.
If everyone sticks to the convention, there should be no clashes. I understand that there are "favourite" games, but if they're not on the calendar, it clearly means that GMs aren't ready to run them. I can't stress this enough - if you want to run a game - put it on the calendar and then there can be no clash. There is no hierarchy and no preference. If you put down something on the calendar and players sign up to it, then the other games will just have to wait.
Gary- i agree with u 100% except that recently i put down to run a game a month in advance then a week before it was to run someone else put up a game and all my players jumped ship, its obvious there are preferred DMs/ Games which the rest of us have to work around, dont mean this to sound like a moan, its just the way things are and ive learnt to accept it, that being said i will put up the events i mentioned and see wot 'appens

This is precicely the sort of second guessing that I would like to work around. I do agree, if you're ready to run a game just stick it up on the caledar. That lets us all know where we stand if we also want to run, and to get our skates on if we want to. The fact that no-one had done so yet meant that I at least, who hadn't expected to run again yet, was now expecting to accelerate my plans. Which I would be very happy to do.
However, I would also like to know what people have plans for. What prospective games I would like to play in and what game schedules I don't want to just throw up there because, say, I want to play in Nic or Alex's expected games, and it might have been a while since they ran.
This schedule is NOT a replacement for the calendar. It's me recording what has been played and what has been suggested for future blocks so that people (both players and other GMs) can give preference *before* a GM commits to running if they.
I now know that Graham and I are looking at running similar systems soon, and avoiding simultanious games there would be preferable. Given that I am at least partly involved in Nic's SoW game, that means I'll take Graham up on his offer to accommodate, and I'll run WFRP in Jan after all rather than leave it until mid March or skip another block I might like to play in!
Since I want to play in the WFRP and also want to alternate blocks between RPGs and boardgames, I've scheduled my Rogue Trader game for March.
I've got Pendragon scheduled for early March so as to cause as little player double-booking as possible.
Nic - there's not much that can be done about that, except to just put the games that you want to run in the empty slots. Whilst nothing would surprise me, I can't see a player at FGC cancelling from one scheduled game that he/she has put down in writing for - to go to another game.
Unfortunately, this is an issue we've had for a little while, and we're trying to improve things - basically with a form of positive discrimination.

With the new block of games fast approaching and only 1 RPG put into the calendar beyond the Showcase I'd like to see who is both available and wanting to run what. I'd also like to keep this thread just for organising games as the year goes on rather than for other debate, and I am both willing and able to keep the first post info up to date.
As far as long standing GMs who've not run for a while, Nick H is likely next in line as best I can see, should he want to run (not sure if you have other gaming commitments post-Showcase Nick). After him I think it's those of us who didn't run in this last block and new GMs making their pitches (please correct me if I'm wrong and have missed someone). Between us I'm sure we can get three games going!
