oh and Mumbles has a repair kit if you wanna repair some of your bows
By my maths, we are going to run out of troops, before they do!
Still, 12 dead, for 58 dead....it'll be messy when the next wave comes.....hope we get some re-inforcements.
If we live through the next wave, and lose too many, Ugbozh and Drozakh will definitely give some thought to retreating...(or outright running like their asses are on fire....!)
:-)
hey just a few quick questions
1. will we have enough time between waves to pile all the dead bodies up and make a sort of wall out of them between the set of three houses and the church and then between the barn and the pub as we stil have the pits by the church and the horse area bit thing.
2. are any of the people still alive just knocked out who can tell us more info on the remaing people in the next two waves. as i would of thought in a group of 150 people 20 cavarly would have been all of it and my guess is the rest will all be low level grunts clerics and paladins and we wouldnt get any more cavarly. if thats the case we could form some bottle necks.
3. as it has been raining has the river swollen and got harder to cross.
4. whats the count on the people we have left lol
thanks for any info you can give me i hope you all have a good time over xmas and get the stuff you want not just reindeer socks.

just to recap you killed 20 Militia cavalry, 20 skirmishers, and 15 Paladins as well as 3 officers total
That's thirty seven cavalry (the skirmishers were the only foot troops)....as Richard says, out of 150 troops that's alot of cavalry. I am hoping for more infantry, and am worried by the lack of missile troops and heavy infantry. Skirmishers are no use in storming even lightly defended fortified areas.
I am assuming the first wave were the 'forlorn hope', and their job was to over-run us or at least soften us up. I'm expecting an archery duel to be going on, soon. After all, a decent army is cavalry, infantry and missile troop mixed.
I'd suggest that with any of our dead, we grab their crossbows and mend any bows (I am assuming any broken bows we have are simply broken bow strings. It is exceptionally difficult to actually break a longbow stave! We can probably assume a mechanical failure in any of the crossbows that got 'One-d'.)
I'm quite happy to pile bodies up but, if missile troops are coming, that creates cover for them.
:-)
you have about half an hour before the next wave, on a DC12 Spot you can see the last 10 of the Paladin cavalry lining up west of the settlement ready to do a sweep through it (North being where Jon was sat) on a DC15 you can see 10 crossbowmen moving into positions on both the north and south flanks, on the north flank you can see 10 Gradsul regular infantry ready to assault, and on a DC20 Spot you can make out grey cloaked longbowmen moving with an elven grace between cover moving in from the south, and on a DC20 Listen you can make out a mounted unit coming towards you from the east on your side of the bridge behind you.
your remaining troops include
(PCs) Drozakh Hobgoblin R2, Eddie Human F2, Kaern Human M2, (Part time PCs) Ugbosh Orc F2, Siszik Lizardman F2.
(NPCs) Captain Meat Chop Goblin F3, Corporal Nine Toes Halfling T3, Frank 'The Butcher' Bugbear F3, Mumbles Human Barb2, 'Crazy' Jack Human Barb2, Rudy Human T2, Mebak Orc C2, Margo Goblin M3, Alice Hobgoblin C2.
(Grunts) (4) Orc Crossbowmen, (5) Human Bandits, (1) Orc Pirate, (3) Hobgoblin Ruffians
we'll use Craft (Weapon) to repair broken weapons, DC20 (18 if Bow) or DC15 with repair kit, Mumbles has a Kit and a skill of +5, can try once each on each item, any double 'Ones' will destroy item. masterwork & Magic Weapons (When/ if u get them) wont break
oh and yes you can find live prisoners to interrogate, yes the river is swollen, and I might change the DC on the fixing weapons, will consult with Dave, Alec and Alex first for an impartial view, oh and each unit has an officer
your grunts look ready to bolt so an intimidate roll will be needed
other than the bows (broken or otherwise) u r carrying, you have not managed to find any others, but there will be plenty after the next wave
cant see on Jons sheets what he had but im sure he had a spare Longbow from Mumbles + his own one, Ugbozh hasnt got anything written down other than a sling and Siszik has a broken crossbow and a working longbow
I think Kaern still has his Crossbow, cant remember if eddie picked up anything, most of the NPCs dont have missile weapons, a few have Javelins and Nine Toes has a sling
Captain Meat Chop will remind you all that examples will be made of those who plan on deserting their post.
"cant see on Jons sheets what he had but im sure he had a spare Longbow from Mumbles + his own one, Ugbozh hasnt got anything written down other than a sling and Siszik has a broken crossbow and a working longbow"
Drozakh's first attack was to break his Longbow...so, he does not have a spare (as he already pinched the spare). Ugbozh has a sling and some bullets. TBH, he is a meat shield and slicin'/dicin' maniac.

not enough XP earned to put up yet, they were mainly first levels so it works out a couple of hundred each, so will wait for the end of the entire battle to award XP,
just to recap you killed 20 Militia cavalry, 20 skirmishers, and 15 Paladins as well as 3 officers total, and you lost 9 Goblins (under Jons command) 2 orcs (under Richards) and a lizardman (Szik's brief friend)
both your clerics have 1 cure light each left and your Goblin Mage has 3 sleeps,
Mumbles is down 3, Meat Chop is down 4, Frank 'The Butcher' is down 8 and Crazy Jack is down 12
and you have two more waves to come
will run probably in feb unless Daves running Rumours
c u ya'll next week if not ave a good xmas
