Hi, I will be in the area visiting family for Christmas Dec 15- 31st and was thinking of dragging my cousin (male) out of the house, he needs some fun!! The only game on the list I recognize is D&D. I would love to have just a little bit of a clue before I come about the other games, would someone clue me in? We are both over 40 is that ok? Do we bring snacks etc? Is there money involved in the games? Thank you, LALady, bass4494326@yahoo.com |

hello LAlady Firstly gender is no issue (although it helps to be a girl if you want to get served first at the bar!) Seriously we are open to everyone, I was the only girl for years and I always found it very welcoming. Age is also no issue, we welcome all so please feel free to come over. Games wise the 17th is our 'silly games' night and it's exactly what it says, silly. Last year there was poker with chocolate money (the only money involved) and quackshot which involves attempting to knock plastic ducks off a revolving wheel. This year there is also Bunny bunny moose moose-I've never played it but I want to and the card players will probably still play shadow fist. Please feel free to bring your own games along, there are always players. Look forward to seeing you next week. Any other queries just shout and someone will answer. xxx |

Hello LALady, 'Silly Games Night' tends to be more chaotic than the usual Thursday nights, but it is no less fun for that. You may want to look up 'Quack Shot' on the web to see exactly what you might be letting yourself in for - there are also a few photos in the 'IMAGES: Silly Games Night 2008' section on the site. As to the other games, you may not be familiar with them, but there will ALWAYS be friendly explanations available. You won't feel left out. If you do decide to visit, you will be most welcome but I suggest that you make yourself known to Clair (easy to spot) or myself (look for the ponytail) and we will introduce you around and get you started. |

Ian of course meant that you are easy to spot because of your radiant personality Clair. You know Ian he would never...Actually I take everything I just said back. BAD Ian! :) On a normal night you will get a bit of everything being played, there is usually a roleplaying group, 1 or 3 boardgames going on, and a tradingcard game table. |

No pictures of bunny bunny moose should be posted. Ever. Unless I'm not in them, then they should definately be posted. |
